I've now officially been injured for about 6/7 weeks, not quite sure which. My doctor says it's a stress reaction and if I run on it, it might become a stress fracture. He gave me something to wear on my leg and I'm supposed to be better either in two days or nine. The first cross country meet was yesterday and I took the times of my teammates.
I'm quite sad about not being able to run, but hopefully I'll be back soon. I'm a tad bit worried about getting injured all over again once I restart running. :( Track season is the one I do best at, but I want to do well in cross country as well.
Next Saturday is Woodbridge Invitational, after that is Dana Hills Invitational. I at least want to be able to run by Dana because I PRed at that race last year. I don't know how well I'd be able to do because I don't think my cardio is quite as good as it was before. I've been biking, but biking has become so much easier than running was.
Well, wish me luck.

A blog of my high school cross country running experience. Track will likely come in later at the appropriate season.

Broken
My right leg is injured and this is my fourth week not running, but biking. I love to run and feel rather depressed about this. The first race is in a week and the beach run is in two days. It's likely I'll miss both of those. My doctor currently told me not to walk, or run. Biking, he thinks, is okay for now.
I had to get an x-ray of my leg and the radiologist didn't see any stress fractures or breaks, but my doctor is double checking. Hopefully that's good news and my leg will be better soon? I'll update when I find out, hopefully soon. I really want to run the first race. So badly, but I want to do well throughout the season and especially in track, so I probably won't end up running it. If anything, I definitely want to run the third race because I PRed at it last year.
Updates soon.
